Share Assets from Brand Connect

You can share assets from Brand Connect with other users and other parties outside your organization.

 

Email a Link

You can send fellow users a link to an asset. The recipient will be prompted to log in before viewing the asset.

  • Click the Screen_Shot_2017-07-24_at_11.07.57_AM.png icon on the asset details page.
  • Click Email Link.
  • Enter the email address of the recipient. If you are sending to multiple recipients, separate their email addresses with a comma.
  • You can also include an optional subject and message.
  • Click Send.

Email a Download

You can send an asset download link to any email address. The recipient will not be prompted to log in before downloading the asset, but you will need to ensure you have permission to download the asset in order to email the download link.

  • Click theScreen_Shot_2017-07-24_at_11.07.57_AM.png icon on the asset details page.
  • Click Email Download.
  • Enter the email address of the recipient. If you are sending to multiple recipients, separate their emails with a comma.
  • Set the Download Expiration to set a date for the download link to expire.
  • If the asset should be converted upon download, update the Download size.
  • You can also include an optional subject and message.
  • Click Send.

    Can I share a folder?

    I'm afraid not. Assets and Lightboxes can be shared, but not folders themselves.

    Two problems here:

    1. Sharing a file out of the brand portal, file type shows up incorrectly on the recipient's notification. (E.g. shared a *pdf document*, but notification states "(Name) would like you to see an *image* at...").

    2. If sharing while not logged-in, the sender on the notification is (understandably) blank (though doesn't state anything, sentence simply begins "would like you to see..." Very weird). BUT why isn't there a way for a sender to fill in their name or email address when not logged-in?
