Shutterstock Integration

Shutterstock is an American provider of stock photography, stock footage, stock music and editing tools. The Shutterstock integration automatically uploads licensed assets from your Shutterstock account (or multiple accounts) to Webdam for a centralized asset management experience.

This integration is part of the Integrations Hub

  9. [optional] Sync after: You can control which assets are uploaded to Webdam based on when they were licensed.

  10. Sync organization assets: If your profile has permission to view organization assets, you can import all assets across your entire organization.
    • Select True to sync all organizational assets.
    • Select False to sync assets licensed by the authenticated user only.

    1. Click License field.
    2. Click Choose an option under Shutterstock and select a field from the dropdown.
    3. Then, Choose an option under Webdam that you’d like to map it to.

    1. Click Add Asset Metadata Field.
    2. Click Choose an option under Shutterstock and select a field from the dropdown.
    3. Then, Choose an option under Webdam that you’d like to map it to.

    1. Click Add a new mapping.
    2. Select the metadata Webdam Field from the dropdown, then add the Value that you’d like to add to that field.
  16. Click Next.
  17. Select Finish.

How to use the integration

After configuration, all licensed images (and videos, if enabled) for the connected Shutterstock account will begin to upload to the selected Webdam folder. Moving forward, any licensed asset will automatically upload to Webdam roughly 2 hours after you license it. You can move the folder, but it should not be deleted. If you delete the folder, the upload will fail until you add a new one in the configuration wizard.

If you delete a Shutterstock asset from Webdam, it will not automatically be reuploaded to Webdam. If you delete a Shutterstock asset from your Shutterstock account or if your license expires, it will not automatically be deleted from Webdam.

Edit the integration

You can edit the configuration if you want to disable the integration, update your Shutterstock settings, sync (or no longer sync) videos, or edit your Shutterstock credentials.

  1. Navigate to > System Preferences > Integrations Hub.
  2. Click Active Integrations in the left sidebar, then Edit in the section of the connection that you would like to update.
  3. Make your changes, then click Save.

Metadata information

The keywords will automatically update with the following details. You can map additional Shutterstock metadata to Webdam metadata fields during the integration configuration.

  • Keywords: Shutterstock, author/photographer name, and the Shutterstock ID
