Upload and Organize Assets from Your Device

This article covers using the Webdam+ mobile app to:

Create Folders:

Admins and contributors with create-folder access can create additional folders from the mobile app.

  • Log in to the app.

  • Tap the Hamburger.png, tap Assets and choose all.

  • To create a new parent folder, tap the plus.png icon in the lower right – only admins can create new parent folders from the mobile app.

  • To add a subfolder, select a folder, tap the plus.png icon and select Create new folder. Admins and contributors with “create folder” permission can create subfolders.

  • Enter the name of the new folder and tap Create to add your new folder.

Note: Folders cannot be deleted in the mobile app.

Upload Assets:

Admins and Contributors with upload permissions to a folder can upload assets using the mobile app.

 

  • Log in to the app.

  • Tap the Hamburger.png, tap Assets and choose all.

  • Navigate to the folder where you’d like to upload the asset(s) and tap the plus.png icon.

  • Select Upload if you want to upload an asset from your device or Use Camera if you want to take a picture.

    • If uploading from your device, select the asset (checkmark on the asset will be highlighted) and tap Done .

    • If uploading from your camera, take the photo, then choose Use photo.
  • You will see confirmation the upload has started and when the upload  is complete.

Note: Metadata and keywords cannot be added to assets from the app, these attributes are view-only.

Delete Assets:

Admins and Contributors with delete permissions to a folder can delete assets using the mobile app.

  • Navigate to the asset you’d like to delete, tap theactions_in_mobile.png icon to right of the asset in list view, along the bottom of the asset in thumbnail view or in the top right on the Asset Details page.

  • Choose Delete and confirm your selection when prompted – this will delete the asset from your library.
