Tell me More About the SAP Commerce Cloud Connector
With the SAP Connector you can add Webdam images to your Back Office products and SmartEdit content in Commerce Cloud. By searching through your Asset Library you can find the images you're looking for and directly add them to Commerce Cloud. The integration uses the Webdam embed links ensuring that your SAP product imagery always reflects the latest version available in your Webdam DAM.
The connector makes use of a specific API user account. You can create this user in your Webdam portal and grant the appropriate and necessary permissions to this account. This way, you don't have to worry about your users seeing and adding assets they shouldn't have access to.
The SAP Commerce Cloud connector has been developed and is updated by our partner Loop.
Best Practices
- We advice to set up a one or more image download presets that fit the required dimensions and file format (JPG and PNG) for your SAP product imagery. This way, the right product imagery will be created upon upload to Webdam.
- Set up a specific API user for the Commerce Cloud Connector in your Webdam portal and grant this API user with the appropriate and necessary permissions. The connector will connect using this user account. By setting up the right permissions you can ensure that your users using the connector can add the assets they're looking for without risking them accessing sensitive material.
