What is the Webdam Connector for Sitecore?

The Webdam Connector for Sitecore allows you to browse assets stored in Webdam directly from within Sitecore – you no longer need to leave your Sitecore instance or deal with the hassle of downloading and reuploading assets into multiple systems. The connector also allows for a seamless flow of information between the two platforms.

  • Maintain one source of truth - assets can be used in Sitecore projects, but remain sourced from Webdam.

  • Stay up-to-date - changes or version updates made to the asset in Webdam are automatically reflected wherever you’ve published the asset so you’re always using the latest content.

  • Create freely - manipulate and modify assets linked from Webdam in all the ways you would, with assets stored in the Sitecore media library.

  • Retain control of your assets - users can only view and browse assets they have access  to in Webdam, therefore maintaining your user permissions.

  • Sync select metadata - Selected metadata fields in Webdam are synced to the asset shown in Sitecore.  A list of the fields included is located in the FAQ below.
