Q: If artwork is created from Brand Connect, does someone need to approve the end look to ensure it branded properly?

Q: Did Leigh Ann mention that the Brand Portal will be retiring and replaced with Brand Connect? All our users are currently using the Brand Portal, how will this be different?
A: The Brand Portal will be retired and replaced by Brand Connect. The Brand Portal and Brand Connect can be used in parallel as customers transition to Brand Connect.
Brand Connect is built on the latest technology and will include all features from the Brand Portal in addition to many more, such as customizable Brand Guidelines.
Q: Is Brand Connect a separate platform than the WebDAM Management System or is it combined within it.
A: Brand Connect works in conjunction with WebDAM. Everything customers once did using the Brand Portal can be done using Brand Connect in addition to an entirely new way to manage Brand Guidelines.
Q: Does Brand Connect use some kind of permissions control whereby some users have access to some guidelines, but other users are exposed to other sets of guidelines. For example: we want our sales force to have access to social media guidelines, but don't want to expose them to complicated print guidelines.
A: Brand Connect offers a number of access controls to ensure your brand is protected. Within Brand Guidelines, organizations can choose which user groups have access to specific sections.
Q: We just purchased WebDAM. Is Brand Connect a part of the base product or an add-on?

Q: In Brand Connect can you allow an end user to customize a piece within it?
For example, a local branch can put in their contact details, then download the file vs. the designer having to create a separate file for each location?
A: Brand Connect can be used with Dynamic Templates which enable users to customize InDesign files for their own use. Many of our customers leverage Dynamic Templates for customizing collateral for uses in specific locations.
