Uploading, Editing and Organizing Assets from Your Device

Download the free iOS Webdam app on the App Store. You must have a Webdam account to log in.

This article covers to following topics:

 

Uploading Assets:

Admins and contributors with upload access for a folder can upload assets.

  • Log in to the mobile app.

  • Navigate to the folder where you’d like to upload the asset and click .

  • Select Photo Library if you have an asset on your phone that you want to upload or Camera if you plan to take a picture or video.

    If prompted, allow Webdam access to your photo library or camera.  

    • If uploading from your photo library, click the asset(s), then select Done.  

    • If uploading from your camera, take the photo, then click Use photo.

  • Click Continue in background to continue working while your assets are uploading.

 

Editing Metadata:

Admins and contributors with edit asset permissions can edit the keywords of an asset.

  • Log into the mobile app.

  • Click an asset, then click .

  • Click the Keywords tab.
  • Add a keyword:
    • Click .
    • Enter a keyword or choose from the keyword taxonomy.
    • Click .

  • Delete a keyword:
    • Click the X next to the keyword.

    • Click OK to confirm.

 

Deleting Assets:

  • Log in to the mobile app.
  • From the list view of assets, click  then . If you’re on the asset details page, click then .
  • Click OK to confirm.

 

Creating Folders:

Admins and contributors with create-folder access can create additional folders.

  • Log in to the mobile app.

  • Click to add a top-level parent folder or a folder to add a nested folder.

  • Click  on the actions toolbar.

  • Enter the folder name.
  • Click OK.

 

Deleting Folders:

Admins and contributors with create-folder access may delete folders.

  • Log in to the mobile app.

  • Navigate to the folder you want to delete.
  • Click on the actions toolbar.
  • Click OK to confirm.
