The New WebDAM

The new WebDAM experience is using the latest technology to increase efficiency surrounding digital asset management, promote collaboration with real-time commenting, and remove unwanted barriers with distribution while retaining control where needed.

From the Admin Dashboard, simply click on Activate Beta. When you log in from that point forward, you will be using the Beta version. It will be just as simple to exit the Beta.

WebDAM has long been known as the easiest to learn and use DAM on the market.  We have truly set the bar in user experience, but it was time to introduce some of the latest technologies to further streamline your workflows.

YES!  All new and existing customers will receive the updates at the same time (thanks to our truly multi-tenant architecture!).  However, since this is a very big release with lots of changes, we have rolled it out as a Beta that requires you ENABLE it to begin using.  This ensures we do not disrupt your work and you can try it when you have time!

A Beta release means it may not be perfect.  With changes this extensive, it is common for there to be minor imperfections or unexpected behaviors.  This is why we provide an easy way for you to revert if you just need time to get used to the new system or find an issue that prevents you from performing a function.  Keep in mind, Beta DOES NOT mean untested!  This release went through our usual extensive QA testing processes.

Yes!  If at any time, you would prefer to work from the old system, simply click Exit Beta in the upper right of the Application.  You can always re-enable the Beta as well!

Administrators and contributors will each be able to enable and disable the Beta, controlling their own view of the Application.  Gallery-mode (the Brand Portal) will not change at all so therefore your end-users are not impacted.

The Brand Portal is the new name for Gallery-mode.  Nothing has changed in the Brand Portal except for the name!

There are so many to list!  As usual, we will be updating the release blog in DAMSuccess.com with detailed release notes.  Some of the major goodies are:

Drag and Drop – Move folders and/or assets with ease using drag and drop.

Collaboration – Comment on any asset in a lightbox and share with others on your team. Great for approvals!

Search and Discovery – Filter by file type, asset status, and more with one click!

Inline Editing – Simply hover your mouse over any editable metadata and start typing.

Customized views by user – Choose a view that works for your individual needs. Different thumbnail sizes plus sorting options for your individual login.
