What’s new in WebDAM?
This release is jam-packed with all kinds of new features and improvements. For users of the Beta, please be sure to review the section below called Changes to Beta.
New Features:
- Full length video previewing for files under 255MB (available on accounts with the multimedia module only).
- Transcode your video files into common formats and codecs. Videos are transcoded upon download so no extra storage is used in your account (available on accounts with the multimedia module only).
- Create custom video download presets from a blank template or from preloaded templates for iPad, iPhone, and YouTube. Presets can be modified on several parameters such as size (width/height) video codec, and frame rate (available on accounts with the multimedia module only). - Video download presets are controlled by Groups like the image download preset (available on accounts with the multimedia module only).
- Image Download Presets have been added to the FTP Lightbox feature.
What’s Changed:
- Download Presets feature has been renamed Image Download Presets on the Global Preferences page.
- Try Beta menu option is now Try the New WebDAM!
Changes to Beta:
- Internet Explorer support for IE 9 and 10.
- FTP importing of assets is now available at the folder level. To access, click on the Upload option in the top navigation panel and then choose the FTP Upload tab.
- FTP export with Image Download Presets is available in the Lightbox.
- A new item called Profile can be found under the Settings menu. This will take you to the area you normally would edit account information such as your username or password.
- A new item called Subscription can be found under the Account menu (for account admins only). This will take you a popup with your account start date, summary of user seats, and account storage.
- List view improvements have been implemented to prevent wrapping and misalignment on various screen sizes.
Improvements:
- Quality of the multimedia preview has been improved and the width of the preview has been increased to 640px
- Newly supported file types: QXP.
- Session logged out prompt after 30 minutes of inactivity.
